Bulldogs remain 3rd in Class 2A

LAKE MILLS, Iowa — Despite its 40-game win streak to begin the season, the Lake Mills, Iowa, volleyball team is ranked right where it started the year — No. 3 in Class 2A.
The Bulldogs (17-0) sit behind top-ranked and defending state champion, Western Christian (13-0), and second-ranked Grundy Center (12-0).
In the latest rankings released Thursday by the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union, the top nine-ranked teams in Class 2A remained idle from the week before. No. 12 Sioux Center and No. 13 West Liberty jumped into the rankings, while Mount Vernon and Unity Christian dropped out.
The Bulldogs swept West Hancock 3-0 on the road Thursday to preserve its perfect season.
