Jeff Quam and Ceny Steven, both of Albert Lea, and Marlow and Cobi Wangen, of Hayward, announce the engagement of their children, Gretchen Quam and Matthew Wangen.

Gretchen is a 1998 graduate of Albert Lea High School. She is employed at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

Matthew is a 1993 graduate of Albert Lea High School. He farms around Hayward.

A wedding is planned for Sept. 10, 2011, at Oakland Lutheran Church in Hayward.
