Here are highlights in history for Sept.  15, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1992 — A flooded portion of Lakeview Park inspired a group of young men to play a game of what they called water football. (The Tribune didn’t explain if this was a touch or tackle game.)

1982 — Tom T. Hall would be appearing at the Austin High School Auditorium for two performances on Sept. 15.

1942 — Recent dredging in Fountain Lake was resulting in more crappies, bass and pickerel for area fishermen.
