1986 — The Tribune’s weekly Family Entertainment Magazine listed the television programs for eight stations plus HBO and USA channels.

1976 — Documents were signed in St. Paul to start construction of the Channel View Urban Renewal Area in Albert Lea.

1946 — The Albert Lea Police Department reported that 820 tickets had been issued so far in the year for overtime parking violations.
