Here are highlights in history for Oct. 16, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1986 — Albert Lea’s Naeve Health Care Association purchased the Behr-Parkview Nursing Home of Wells. Catherine Hagen would be the new administrator of the Parkview facility.

1976 — Londa Goodrich was crowned as the Homecoming Queen at Wells-Easton high School.

1966 — The 15 stores in the Skyline Shopping Center were planning a variety of activities for the center’s grand opening.
