Here are highlights in history for Oct. 19, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1989 — The world famous Vienna Choir Boys would be presenting the second concert of the season for the Albert Lea Civic Music Association at the L.J. “Cap” Emmons Auditorium on Oct. 23.
1979 — “All you can eat” specials for $4.95 were being featured by Scarborough Fare Restaurant in Otisco, six miles south of Waseca, according to a Tribune ad.
1939 — A $16,000 five-apartment complex was completed on East Third Street.
