Here are highlights in history for Oct. 25, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1988 — Members of Albert Lea’s Co. A, 1st. Bn., 135th Infantry, were busy moving equipment from the old armory at the corner of Washington Avenue and Clark Street to the new armory near the corner of Consul Street and Prospect Avenue.
1978 — According to a Tribune ad, the Cardinal Food Stores in the county were Nick’s Grocery in Hayward, Helland’s Supertte of Alden, Sibilrud’s Grocery of Hartland and Anderson’s Grocery of Freeborn.
1958 — Members of Western Star Lodge No. 26 of Albert Lea celebrated the centennial of their Masonic organization.
