Yesterday we had a big story planning meeting with the publishers of the Tribune and the Herald, as well as advertising staff and editorial staff. We planned out all the stories I want to try to write while in Kuwait (though I’m sure I’ll find more when I’m there). I will plan to feature what different jobs are like, what soldiers do when they’re not working and lots of other stories about daily life at the base in Kuwait.

We also want to tie-in families from Albert Lea and Austin and have a few ideas so far. We’re looking to talk with wives and husbands, family members or anyone who knows a deployed soldier.
