The Albert Lea girls’ soccer was rewarded for its efforts this season with a first-round bye in the Section 2A Tournament after locking up the No. 1 seed.

The Tigers finished the season with a 7-1 section record and finished atop Minnesota-Scores.net’s QRF rankings, which seeded the section rather than a coaches’ vote.

The Tigers open the tournament on Saturday.
