Dr. Grant and Michelle Petersen, of Alden, announce the birth of a son, Andrew Irwin Petersen, on Oct. 22, 2011, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. Andrew weighed 7 pounds, 6 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Grandparents are Wayne and Cheryl Priddy, of Mishawaka, Ind., and Kandee and the late Scott Petersen, of Alden. Great-grandparents are Kenneth and Liz Petersen, of Albert Lea, and Mearald and Shirley Elvebak, of Kiester.
