Midway through Day four already

I’ve just finished up most of my morning work and we just went to the chow hall for lunch. My mornings are usually spent finding the two soldiers, one from the Albert Lea area and one from the Austin area, to profile. Then I try to get those stories written. Then after lunch we usually look for the package story and get photos and video. Then any side stories are taken care of and then it’s back to my room to get to writing the package and getting the photos and videos sent over. My work is usually only split up by when we eat, which is working out. I’m not getting burned out though, because I’m not working every second of every day, there are times where I’m waiting for others to be ready so I can check Facebook and email and communicate to people back home.
Last night I tried the Pizza Inn, which is open 24 hours a day on the base. It was pretty good! I was surprised at how good it was. Back home it probably wouldn’t be my favorite, but it was definitely a change from chow hall food. It reminded me of Pizza Hut, but the sauce was quite different and I picked the pepperonis off (they had a weird texture) and left the sausage on. I also got a can of Sprite, that has some awesome foreign text on it, so I’ll try to bring that home somehow since it’s kind of cool.
