Here are highlights in history for Nov. 9, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1985 — Two rural mail carriers in the Glenville area — Robert Johnson and Roy Schilling — were honored at the American Legion Club for their total of 55 years of service.

1975 — The first “Glenville Brush-Ups,”  an art show, would be held at the Glenville Lutheran Church.

1945 — Rilco Laminated and Super Structures resumed operations as more lumber became available. As a result, both firms called back their workers after a two-week layoff.
