1987 — An editorial comment from the Department of Minnesota office of the American Legion had the headline of “Veterans Day special to all.”

1977 — There was a question mentioned in the Tribune based on the legality of an amphibious aircraft landing on Fountain Lake.

1937 — The Albert Lea Toastmasters Club, sponsored by the YMCA, started with a meeting at the Spanish Dining Room, a part of Hotel Albert.
