Here are highlights in history for Nov. 17, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1992 — A total of 110,000 pounds of carp, buffalo fish, sheephead and bullhead were netted out of Albert Lea Lake by a commercial fishing firm from Waterville.
1982 — A total of 23,00 people attended the national FFA convention in Kansas City, Mo. Of this number, 13 were from the Glenville and Albert Lea chapters.
1942 — Rosella Borgen, speech and dramatics coach at Albert Lea High School, directed the junior class play.
