Here are highlights in history for Nov. 18, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1993 — One of the holiday party recipes on the Tribune’s foods page was for caramelized onion pizza. Another recipe was for blue cheese-walnut wafers.

1983 — Minnesota State Auditor Arne Carlson said Freeborn County had a “clean bill of fiscal health.”

1963 — Don Turnbull and Stan Nielsen, co-owners of Turnbull Tires Inc., moved from a location on Washington Avenue where it had been for 50 years, to 1353 S.E. Broadway Ave.
