Selma “Sally” Johnson, 78, Council Bluffs, Iowa

Selma “Sally” A. Johnson, 78, of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away Nov. 17, 2011. She was born Oct. 16, 1933, in Albert Lea, to the late Ole & Anna (Frantz) Anderson.
Sally worked for Richards, Riekes, Brown & Zabin Law Firm; as a bailiff for Douglas County; Union Pacific Railroad and then retired from the State of Iowa 4th Judicial District Correctional Facility.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers: Ole, Andy and Clifford Anderson and sister, Helene Zerrien.
Sally is survived by daughters: Maren Palmer and her husband, George, and Ann Goldapp; sons: Phillip Johnson and his wife, Kathy, and Richard Johnson and his wife, Sherie; brother, Norman Anderson and his wife, Bonnie; sisters: Aggie Kaasa, Vally Johnson and Esther Williamschen; sisters-in-law: Ardell Anderson and Fern Anderson; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; William “Bill” Johnson; a host of other family and friends.
Visitation with the family was Mnday at the Hoy-Kilnoski Funeral Home & Crematory in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Funeral service is today at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment is in the Ridgewood Cemetery followed by a lunch in the Hoy-Kilnoski Community Room. The family will direct memorials.
