Here are highlights in history for Dec. 4, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:

1989 — Since 1969, the Joyce Matthies Dancers have been presenting the “Nutcracker.” This year’s presentation would be at the Southwest Little Theatre on Dec. 10.

1980 — Big Jim’s Wheel Inn of Glenville was featuring a Sunday dinner special for $4.25.

1960 — Mirko Sedlak, a Czechoslovak leader in exile, was the speaker for a program at the Brick Hall near Myrtle.
