Here are highlights in history for Dec. 15, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1984 — George Goodnature retired after 32 years with the Albert Lea Street Department.
1974 — The Albert Lea Community Theatre announced there would be tryouts for actors, actresses, singers, dancers and acrobats for the play, “Rogue’s Revenge.”
1954 — The former gas manufacturing plant of Interstate Power Co. located between the tracks on South Broadway Avenue was torn down. (This plant made gas from coal and became obsolete when natural gas became available in Albert Lea.)
