Gary and Kathy Watney, of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their daughter, Sarah Watney, to Brent Peterson, son of Terry and Ellen Peterson, of Owatonna.

Grandparents of Sarah are Bill and Lucille Watney, of Northwood, Iowa, and Leonard Frazier, of Albert Lea, and the late Marian Frazier. Grandparents of Brent are Pete and Barb Peterson, of Owatonna, and Jorgen and Marge Johnson, of Afton, Tenn.

Sarah is a 2006 graduate of Alden-Conger High School and a 2009 graduate of Minnesota School of Business-Rochester with an associate in applied science degree. She is currently employed as a certified medical assistant at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna.

Brent is a 2005 graduate of Owatonna High School and a 2009 graduate of Oral Roberts University with a bachelor’s degree in business administration. He is currently employed as a customer specialist with Walser Mazda in Burnsville.

A Feb. 18, 2012, wedding is planned at Living Word Christian Center in Brooklyn Park.
