Funk promoted to colonel

Col. Mike Funk poses for a photo with his wife and daughters after a promotion ceremony in St. Paul on Dec. 29. Funk, who’s also superintendent of Albert Lea Area Schools, was promoted from lieutenant colonel to colonel in the Minnesota National Guard.
