WORTHINGTON — The missing Trojan statue is back at Worthington High School.

The 6-foot-tall brass statue weighing up to 400 pounds disappeared early Saturday. It showed up at the school Monday night.

Principal Paul Karelis said the statue was taken as a senior prank. He says “the kids were very cordial about getting it back.”

A citizen called police Monday night about a pickup truck near the school that looked as though people were in the bed of the truck with the statue. Shortly before 9 p.m., the statue was returned.

The Trojan is now bolted back into place in the hallway near the school lobby. The principal says the kids even brought the bolts back.
