The United Methodist Women met Jan. 4 with a musical selection by Merle Stensrud.
President Marty Beckmann introduced the Rev. Tom Biatek who presided at the installation of officers for 2012.
The guest speaker, Larry Alvey, told of his travels as a tourist guide the past 30 years.
The secretary’s and treasurer’s reports were given by JoAnn Seuser and Ruth Vermedahl. Ruth presented the 2012 budget, which was approved by the group.
United Methodist Women Sunday will be Jan. 29 with members volunteering to serve as greeters and ushers. Plans are being made for a Narthex display.
The Church Women United Executive Board will meet Feb. 3 at the United Methodist Church.
The 2012 Circle booklets are available in the Fireside Room to Circle Chairmen. The “World Day of Prayer” program for Church Women United, will be held at the United Methodist Church on March 2. Coffee will be severed at 9:15 a.m., followed by the program at 10 a.m.
The “Sew Happy Quilter” Trunk Show will be held on April 28, with further details to be reported later.
The group participated in the 2012 pledge service, lead by Ruth Vermedahl. Preceding the meeting, brunch was served by Martha Circle, with Mary-Grace Circle chairing the program.
