NRHEG wraps up perfect regular season

The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva girls’ basketball team won at Randolph 73-28 on Friday to conclude its first undefeated regular season in school history.
The Panthers finished the season 26-0, including 16-0 in the Gopher Conference, and had an average margin of victory of 30.2 points.
Carlie Wagner had 27 points, 7 assists, 7 steals and six rebounds in the team’s 45-point rout, and Anna Schlaak added 16 points and eight rebounds.
Jade Schultz missed her second consecutive game with a high ankle sprain.
The Panthers forced 24 turnovers and outrebounded Randolph 31-17.
“Our pressure got to them as the game wore on,” Panthers coach John Schultz said. “Schlaak is shooting very well right now and had a good night, and Wagner had a very balanced night and finished the fast break well.”
The Panthers B-squad beat 35-29 and finished 23-1.
