The Albert Lea wrestling team on Friday rebounded from a 41-18 loss to Waverly-Shell Rock with a 35-point win over sixth-ranked Adrian.
The Tigers won the first seven matches, and 12 of 14 overall, en route to a 44-9 win in Adrian.
“We went right up the line and took it to them,” Tigers coach Larry Goodnature said. “The whole team wrestled well, and I felt we went out there and and controlled each match.”
Albert Lea received a big boost when two of its top seniors, Trey Hable and Dalton Westerlund, returned to the lineup and combined for a 11 points.
The Tigers’ 285-pounder, Bryce DeBoer, recorded the team’s only pin.
