Weekend Planner: Big Freeze leads an active weekend

Published 9:53 am Thursday, February 16, 2012

The annual Big Freeze event kicks off Saturday with events planned for the whole day. The Big Freeze will be held at Edgewater Park, with some events in the new Edgewater Pavilion, this year.

Because of a lack of snow a few events had to be canceled including the snowmobile radar runs, showshoeing and the softball tournament. Still on are the polar plunge, disc golf, ice fishing with kids, chili cookoff, geocaching, wagon rides and live music. Look to the Friday edition of the Tribune for a full listing of events and times. The medallion hunt continues and the newest clue can be found here.
