Scott and Kirn Woitas of rural Hayward and John and Denise Gulbrandson of rural Albert Lea are proud to announce the engagement of their children, Brooke Woitas and Lee Gulbrandson.

Grandparents of the bride are Lou and Steph Larson and the late Sal Larson of Hayward and Ron and Shirl Woitas of Albert Lea.

Grandparents of the groom are Alice Gulbrandson and the late Howard Gulbrandson of rural Albert Lea and Eugene and Delores Distad of rural Hayfield.

Brooke is a 2006 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2010 graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato majoring in sport management and a double minor in business administration and marketing. She is employed at Lincare in Albert Lea as a sales representative.

Lee is a 2004 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2008 graduate of Minnesota State University-Mankato with his degree in manufacturing engineering. Lee is employed at Innovance in Albert Lea as a manufacturing engineer.

Brooke and Lee plan to wed on Oct. 13 at Hayward Lutheran Church, Hayward, with a reception and dance to follow at the Holiday Inn in Austin.
