Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office deputies cited Charles David Borneman for illegal burning after dispatchers received a call of black smoke coming from a wooded area near 25574 800th Ave., according to reports. Five fire departments — Clarks Grove, Hayward, Hollandale, Geneva and Albert Lea Township — responded to the blaze Wednesday evening.

 

Small child found in street

A small child estimated to be 1 year old was reportedly found in the street at 149 Main St. in Emmons at 10:21 a.m. Wednesday.
