The memorial service for Stanley Craig Salisbury will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the First Congregational Church 12 2nd Street NW in Dodge Center, with the Rev. Jean Boese officiating. Inurnment will be at the Riverside Cemetery in Dodge Center after the memorial service.
Stanley Craig Salisbury, 73, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Owatonna on Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012.
Stanley Craig Salisbury was born on Sept. 11, 1938, in Albert Lea. As a child, Stanley lived in Idaho and then returned to Minnesota, living with his family in Dodge Center. He graduated from Dodge Center High School and attended Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis. He was united in marriage to Maxine Stafford and later divorced. Stanley worked for the Central Coop in Owatonna and then the Owatonna Fire Department as an engineer and fire fighter. Stanley retired from the fire department in 1992, after 23 years of service. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bicycling, reading, traveling, golfing and working on his cars.
Stanley is survived by his two children, daughter, Lisa Mitchell of Wylie, Texas, and Steven (Leah) Salisbury of Fort Dodge, Iowa; four grandchildren, Joshua and Katlyn Mitchell and Stephanie and Jacob Salisbury; one sister, Virginia Wickstrom of Golden Valley, and one brother, Dale Salisbury of Lubbock, Texas.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday at the Czaplewski Family Funeral Home 110 West Main Street in Dodge Center and one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
