2 dogs attack on same night

I just had written a letter to the editor last week, and it was in the April 12 paper in regard to the dog problem in Albert Lea and the poor cat who was killed.

Believe it or not but on April 7, I was walking my dog and we were attacked not just by one dog but two different dogs just minutes apart. The first one was on Frank Avenue and was a collie. There I received a bite to the leg trying to separate them but don’t really know if it was my dog or the collie that did it. I know my dog would not bite me intentionally.

The owner of the dog came and got her dog and not so much as offered an apology for it. Then within a few minutes over on Frank Hall Drive a black Lab came out of nowhere and attacked my dog. I was able to kick the dog a few times before it took off.

As I said before, it all goes back to the owners who don’t have control or take responsibility for their dogs. I have thought of letting them fight it out, but why should my dog suffer over the stupidity of these owners? If Albert Lea doesn’t have a full-time dog catcher, maybe we need one again.
