Julie Jones and Wayne and Shirley Rankin, all of Albert Lea, and Thomas and Lynn Hinrichs of Rosemount announce the engagement of their children, Matthew Rankin and Amber Hinrichs.

Amber is a 2006 graduate of Rosemount High School. She is a nursing student at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemount. She is employed in the emergency department of Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville.

Matthew is a 2006 graduate of Albert Lea High School. He is a student at Riverland Community College studying physical education. He is employed as a personal care assistant.

A wedding is planned for June 2 at Fort Snelling Chapel in Minneapolis with a reception to follow at La Grand Stay in Apple Valley.
