John and Cheri Butler of Albert Lea announce the engagement of their son, Jared Butler, to Julie Ausboorn, daughter of Kris and Janet Ausborn of Emmetsburg, Iowa.

Grandparents of Jared are Gerald and Vallene Knutson and Harriet Hemenway, all of Albert Lea.

Julie is a 2005 graduate of Emmetsburg High School and a 2011 graduate of Drake University with a doctorate of pharmacy degree. She is employed at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, Iowa.

Jared is a 2005 graduate of Albert Lea High School and a 2011 graduate of Drake University with a doctorate of pharmacy degree. He is employed at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

A wedding is planned for July 21 in Emmetsburg, Iowa.
