A Hawthorne Elementary School employee called police Wednesday afternoon stating she had seen the same suspicious gold car that has been parked near schools in the last few weeks. An officer found the car at the corner of Hawthorne Street and Columbus Avenue. Police reports stated there was extra patrol in the area.

A report of the same car driven by a man in his 20s was given last week near the school.

According to police, the man stopped and asked a group of pre-teen girls if they wanted a ride and offered to give them candy.
