On Tuesday the Fountain Lake Sportsman Club released the winners of the Take a Kid Fishing contest to the Tribune.

The event took place at Edgewater Park on June 9.

The contest was divided up by gender and the top three catches were awarded.

First place for the girls was Riley Johnston who caught a 12-ounce bass. In second was Kyhanna Guthart who caught an 8-ounce bass. The third place winner was Makenna Kammere. Kammere caught an 8-ounce bass after Guthart did.

In the boys’ category, Kolby Johnson caught a 5.8-ounce catfish and recieved a first-place trophy.

Tray Schaefer took second by catching a 3.6-ounce catfish and, Erik Haried took third with his catch of a 14-ounce bass.
