United South Central/Alden-Conger’s Emily Mantor set a section and school record at the Section 2A track and field meet on Saturday in Mankato in the 3,200-meter run.
According to Rebels coach Kent Viesselman, Mantor took the lead early in the race and pulled away to win by about 20 seconds. With a time of 11 minutes, 14.27 seconds, Mantor beat the section record by four seconds and the school record by nine seconds.
The sophomore has reset the school record several times this year.
