The deadline for bands to sign up for the 2012 Battle of the Bands event is June 15. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 21 at Edgewater Park’s Bandshell.

The United Way of Freeborn County and Marshall Street Music are hosting the second annual Battle of the Bands. The event invites unsigned bands in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa to compete for prizes and recognition.
