Atlantis Swimming Federation competes in invitational

The Atlantis Swimming Federation recently swam at the 2012 Rochester Invitational. There were 14 teams at the event and ASF placed 12th overall.
“The team swam well for most of the swimmers only swimming in a meter meet for the first or second time,” said ASF coach Mark Vininski.
Abby Larson, Carter Simon and Anna Andersen all achieved new champ times.
Larson placed first in the 10 and under 50-meter freestyle and swam a new champ time. She also swam a new champ time in the 100-meter freestyle and the 50-meter butterfly.
In the 11-to 12-year-old category Jayna Finseth swam a new “C” time in the 50-meter freestyle, Simon placed 15th in the 100-meter freestyle, swimming a new “A” time and also placed fourth in the 50-meter breaststroke. He also achieved a new champ time in the breaststroke. Lexia Simon swam a new “C” time in the 50-meter freestyle and Louis Wagner swam new “C” times in the 50-meter freestyle, 100-meter freestyle and the 50-meter backstroke.
In the 13- to 14-year-old category Anna Andersen swam a new zone time and placed seventh in the 50-meter freestyle, swam a new champ time and placed 13th in the 100-meter freestyle and swam a new “B” time in the 100-meter backstroke. Also in the category was Lindsey Horejsi, Haley Simon and Phil Wagner.
Horejsi placed second in the 50-meter freestyle, third in the 100-meter freestyle, set a new “A” time and placed 16th in the 400-meter freestyle and took first place in both the 100-meter breaststroke and the 200-meter breaststroke.
Haley Simon set new “B” times in both the 100-meter freestyle and the 400-meter freestyle.
Wagner placed 14th in the 50-meter freestyle also setting a new “A” time. He also swam a new “A” time in the 100-meter freestyle. Wagner set new “B” times in the 200-meter freestyle and the 200-meter individual medley. He swam new “C” times in the 100-meter backstroke and the 100-meter breaststroke.
The ASF had two swimmers in the 15- to 16-year-old category, Brady Bresnahan and Derek Wagner. Bresnahan set new “B” times in the 100-meter backstroke and the 200-meter individual medley. Wagner set new “A” times in the 100-meter breaststroke and 50-meter freestyle. He set new “B” times in the 100-meter freestyle, 100-meter backstroke, 200-meter breaststroke, 200-meter individual medley and also in the 200-meter backstroke where he also took 15th place.
