Be a good citizen of the planet

Folks, why do you use our precious water to apply it to your lawns? There is three times the surface area in lawns versus corn. One percent of the earth’s water is fresh. Ninety-nine percent is saline. Thirty percent of our fresh water is applied to lawns. Enough said.
Street lights are expensive to maintain and a misuse of electricity. They do not make cities or towns safer. Maybe if you want a street light, you can pay a surcharge. Many cities and states are banning street lights.
We have to quit applying salt to our winter highways. Where do you think the salt goes? Yes, water and soil. Its effects are permanent.
Nothing good happens to the environment.
Smokers, it is time to quit throwing your cigarette butts into our environment. A butt is plastic and degrades for 15-plus years.
Conserve our fuels by lowering the speed limit to 60 or 65 mph. Enforce it with photocop with only a 2 mph extra allowed. Lots of photocop for the highways and also for our communities.
Be an earth citizen and start thinking and acting like one.
