Gary and Brenda Gavin of Mankato, formerly of Austin, Kevin Reeder of St. Augustine, Fla., and Teresa Reeder of Glenville, announce the engagement of their children, Kathryn Gavin and Casey Reeder.

Kathryn is a 2009 graduate of Austin High School and a 2012 graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a degree in public relations and marketing. She is employed as marketing coordinator at Altrol Inc. Heating and Cooling in Fairbanks, Alaska.

Casey is a 2006 graduate of Manson Northwest Webster High School and is attending American Military University for a degree in fire science and business administration. He is staff sergeant firefighter in the United States Air Force at the Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.

A wedding is planned for Sept. 1 at St. Augustine Church in Austin.
The couple will reside in North Pole, Alaska, after the wedding.
