TOWN OF RIDGEVILLE, Wis. — Authorities in west-central Wisconsin say a female’s body has been found in a burned-out car that had Minnesota license plates.
The Monroe County sheriff’s department said Friday that investigators are still trying to determine her name and cause of death.
A passer-by reported the burning car Tuesday morning in the Town of Ridgeville. The female who was found dead inside was not the registered owner of the 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Investigators say they’re following up on possible leads that aren’t limited to just Monroe County.
