This is a followup letter to a letter that printed Aug. 21., regarding the destruction to our Bancroft Park area by advocates of additional disc golf.

It has always been my understanding that the city mayor and council members are elected to represent the community, and, it is only my assumption, that our local newspaper is to inform us; neither seems to be the case when it comes to this particular project.

Someone seems to have literally rammed this project through with little or no consideration or explanation to the public. It also seems to have a profit-motive lurking somewhere in the background and not necessarily for the city of Albert Lea or the permanent residents of Albert Lea.

Is there anyone that can answer the concerns of many of the longtime residents of our community?
