Woman injured in crash

A woman was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea Sunday after a three-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Marshall Street in Albert Lea.
According to police reports, Terry Lynne Matthes, 65, was taken to the hospital. Her condition as of press time is unknown.
Police stated the crash took place after Weston Alan Hulst, 27, was driving southbound on Bridge Avenue in a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer and reportedly ran through a stoplight at the intersection.
Hulst reportedly collided with Matthes’ vehicle, a 2004 Ford Ranger, which was eastbound on Marshall Street, which tipped over and collided with a 2007 Nissan Titan pickup, driven by Marcos Antonio Flores, 24, which was northbound on Bridge Avenue and stopped at the light.
Police stated Hulst was cited for running the light, and Flores was cited for not having a driver’s license. Hulst had organized the Thorne Crest 5k the day prior, which is covered in today’s edition.
The crash took place at about 12:35 p.m.
Man arrested for meth
Police arrested Tyler Scott Juveland for fifth-degree possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia at 160 Bridge Ave. at 4:36 a.m. Sunday, according to reports.
Vehicle damaged
A vehicle was reported keyed at 126 Brent Drive at 2:13 p.m. Friday, according to police.
Man cited for paraphernalia
Police cited Erik Lee Anderson with possession of drug paraphernalia near the intersection of Columbus Avenue and Sheridan Street at 7:39 p.m. Friday, according to reports.
1 cited for underage drinking
Police cited Oscar Leonard Galvan, 19, for underage drinking after police received a report from 1425 South Shore Drive at 2:13 a.m. Sunday that someone at the door who stated he had been choked.
