New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva’s T.J. Schiltz will enter the cross country state tournament on Saturday as a junior competitor after placing second at a meet in Blue Earth last week.
Schiltz ran a time of 16 minutes, 15.6 seconds.
This marks the second year that Schiltz has been an All-Section runner in Section 2A.
“What can you say about T.J. that hasn’t been said already?” Panthers head coach Mike Weber asked. “He ran a great race and was runnerup to a very good Waseca runner Shane Streich.”
Schiltz had high goals set throughout the year, and the Panthers were ready to get back to the state tournament.
Schiltz will compete at the Minnesota State High School League state cross country tournament Saturday in Northfield.
