2 arrested for drunken driving

Albert Lea police arrested Judith Ann Murphy, 67, for fourth-degree driving while intoxicated after receiving a call at 7:27 p.m. Monday of a silver car driving erratically near the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Main Street, according to reports.
Police arrested Daniel James Heimsness, 48, for third-degree driving while intoxicated after a reported hit-and-run crash in front of Quiznos, near the intersection of Bridge Avenue and Marshall Street. Heimsness reportedly kept driving and stopped in front of the Nasty Habit Bar & Grill.
Tools taken
Tools were reported missing from a residence at 72897 220th St., Albert Lea, at 10:45 a.m. Monday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. The tools were reportedly taken the previous week.
Quarters stolen
Three quart-sized jars of quarters were reported taken from 407 E. Fourth St. at 10:08 a.m. Monday, according to Albert Lea police.
Door broken
The back door of 815 Water St. was reported broken open at 9:41 p.m. Monday, according to Albert Lea police. The door was reportedly broken into sometime between noon and 9:30 p.m.
1 cited for marijuana
Police cited Nathan Hugo Torres, 19, for a small amount of marijuana and violation of park hours at Shoff Park at 1:51 a.m. today, according to Albert Lea police. A juvenile was also cited for tobacco and curfew violation.
