Folk rock group coming to A.L.

Lehto & Wright, a folk rock group, will appear at the Lighthouse Event Center on Saturday.
The Celtic folk rock group challenges the boundaries of traditional folk music. They will perform songs from their first five critically-acclaimed records as well as their upcoming sixth studio album.
Member John Wright was last seen in Albert Lea as part of the Galactic Cowboy Orchestra that performed at the Lighthouse and at the Freeborn County Fair.
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Advance tickets are available at Marshall Street Music, Hy-Vee and Stadheim Jewelers in Albert Lea and at Coffee House on Main in Austin.
Friday
• A basket night supporting Albert Lea wrestling teams will be from 5 to 8 p.m. at the American Legion in Albert Lea. Cost is $8 per person and choices include pulled pork, chicken strips or hamburger with side of fries and a beverage.
• Tina and Lena, comedy duo, come to Albert Lea’s Marion Ross Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Tickets are $13 or two for $25. Call 377-7433 with questions. The event is sponsored by Senior Resources of Freeborn County.
• Albert Lea High School presents “Honk!” at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
Saturday
• First Lutheran Church hosts Holidays Ahead from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be crafts and lefse for sale, as well as a lunch served.
• Albert Lea High School presents “Honk!” at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium.
• Jeff Polis hosts a comedy show at America’s Best Value Inn at 8 p.m. Comedians include Tom Baumgartner, Scott Novotny and Bob Larson. Tickets are $15 in advance at the hotel or $20 at the door.
Sunday
• An Amaranth pancake breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Masonic Lodge. Students in choir at Albert Lea High School will serve.
• A Dad’s Belgian Waffles breakfast will be from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at First Lutheran Church’s Bethany Hall. Cost is $7 per person or free for children age 5 and younger. Proceeds benefit Chapter W of TTT.
• Dunnell Lenort performs at 1 p.m. at the Northbridge Mall. The concert is free.
• The Albert Lea Cantori presents “In Dulci Jubilo” at 3 p.m. at United Methodist Church. Donations will be accepted.
