LYLE — Lyle schools are getting ready to chose the next in command.
At a special Lyle School Board meeting Monday, board members will review applications for Superintendent Joe Guanella’s replacement.
“We’re looking for a part-time superintendent,” said Board Member Jerry Sampson.
During a Wednesday night meeting, board members received packets on the applicants. While he was not able to disclose how many applicants were in the running, Sampson said Monday’s meeting would help the board whittle down applicants and possibly arrange for interviews. No interview dates are set right now.
In June last year, as Guanella was finishing up a four-month interim contract he had during the spring, the board approved an additional one-year contract. His role as superintendent comes to a close at the end of the current school year.
