Downtown Albert Lea saw changes in the past year. The most notable were a coffee shop and restaurant with a bar. They were called Prairie Wind Coffee and 112 on Broadway, and they seemed to bring more people downtown. In the coming year Broadway will undergo a major reconstruction, which is expected to change what downtown looks like altogether. –Tim Engstrom/Albert Lea Tribune
