Peter and Karen Rubsam of Appleton, Wis., and Brian and Susie Paul of Albert Lea, announce the engagement of their children Kari Rubsam and Alex Paul.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in elementary education. She is currently employed with Longfellow Elementary School in Scottsbluff, Neb., as a fourth grade teacher.

The groom is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a degree in nuclear medicine. He is currently employed with Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff.

A July 20, 2013, wedding is planned at Faith Lutheran Church in Appleton.
