Joseph Samudio and Yvette Guerra of Hayward announce the birth of a daughter, Gianna Andrea Samudio, on Jan. 29, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. Gianna weighed 8 pounds, 4 ounces and was 20 1/2 inches long.

Grandparents are Maria Guerra and John Frisk of Hayward and Anthony Samudio Jr. and Phyllis Samudio of Albert Lea. Great-grandparents are Isabel and Jose Avelar Sr. of Joplin, Mo., and Anthony Samudio Sr. of Albert Lea.

 

Sy and Erica Vanthavong of Burnsville announce the birth of a daughter, Olivia Leonor Vanthavong, on Jan. 25, 2013, at Ridgeview Hospital in Waconia. Olivia weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and was 20 inches long. She joins sibling Amara.

Grandparents are Alan and Griselda Root of Albert Lea and Von and Boua Vanthavong of St. Charles.

 

Jay and Heather Dokken of Alden announce the birth of a son, Caleb Allen, on April 2, 2013, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Owatonna. Caleb weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces and was 21 inches long.

Grandparents are Wilford and Karen Dokken of Alden and Carol and Mike Hodnefield of Austin.
