Freeborn County in tornado watch

Freeborn County is in a tornado watch until 9 p.m. today, according to the National Weather Service.
The area is also in a flash flood watch until Monday evening as there will be periods of heavy rain in the forecast. Two to 4 inches of rain can be expected through Monday evening. The rain could cause quick rises to small rivers, streams and creek and also flood area roadways.
Several rounds of rain and thunderstorms are expected through Sunday evening. Some of the thunderstorms may contain heavy rain, possibly for prolonged periods. Thunderstorms, with possible hail and damaging winds, are predicted for much of Minnesota.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely through Tuesday, with even more showers possible for Wednesday. Friday could be clear with a forecast of mostly sunny and high of 68, according to the National Weather Service.
