Paul Peterson, 83, Phoenix, Ariz.

Paul (Pete-boy) K. Peterson died on June 23, 2013, in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Blooming Prairie on Aug. 15, 1930. He attended schools in Owatonna and Albert Lea.
After high school he joined the Army and served his tour of duty with special forces in Korea.
In his work career he managed the Albert Lea Country Club, was the sales manager for Drug Supply Inc. and then owned and operated Pete-boy’s Bar in Albert Lea until his retirement in 1979 when he moved to Phoenix.
He was an avid golfer belonging to both the Albert Lea Country Club and Green Lea Golf Course men’s leagues. He also was an exceptional pool player that very few people, if any, could beat. He enjoyed all manner of sports, both attending games in person and on TV.
He is survived by two sons, Paul (Adele) of Eden Prairie and Kelly (Anna) of Phoenix; former wife, Yvonne (Arf) Peterson of Phoenix; sister, Shirley Anderson of Sedona, Ariz.; brother, Gene Peterson of Houston, Texas; brothers-in-law, Bob Schultz of Wells and George Morley of Albert Lea; and long-time companion, Lanie Penny of Phoenix. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Paige, Lucia, Paula and Luke of Eden Prairie and Brent and Lauren of Phoenix; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose; father, Hage Peterson; sisters, Lorrain Morley and Mavis Schultz; and brother-in-law, David Anderson.
Internment will be in Graceland Cemetery.
